Tried to dive deeper
Tried to dig hard
But you could never reach it
You could just play a part
You thought it’s illusion
You mocked its presence
But you only got delusion
It never made a sense
It was abstract
And only when the depths themselves climb up,
and ensnare you and bewitch you
Would you be able to see it for fact.

hmmm ..after reading this , am thinking like 'The Thinker'--a bronze and marble sculpture by Auguste Rodin.
ReplyDeleteonly difference is that rodin's thinker is thinking since year 1902 and i started just now ;-)
nice read to think upon!!!
would i be able to see it for fact??
wud i b able to see it for fact??
wud i b able 2 c it for fact?? ever..??never?? sometimes??
and the thinking is going on n on..
Thats a very generous comment...
ReplyDeleteI wrote this just while skimming the surface, and could feel the anguish of not being able to reach the depth...
Really intresting to know about Rodin's thinker and the analogy ;), more to come on the ability to think...
full points for the dexterity to convincingly render own/characters’ mental states on the page.
ReplyDeletewell collocated thought.
what i feel.. there should be next 4/8 lines (may be another one with title as Abstractum grasped!! or _____..)..which depicts the abstract scene when depths (themselves) climb up..
